In this Art class assignment, we spent a long time painting a still life of objects that represented us. Although it frustrated me at the time, I forced myself to leave the underpainting showing and limited myself to the primary colors and white, and I had to remix colors constantly. However, this really improved my color-mixing speed and consistency, and I love how alive it turned out because of the color variation. My composition includes a mask, three books (epic fantasy, fairy tale retellings, and some classics), a sketchbook, my CRTs’ container, a whisk, and the elephant stuffed animal I made. Funny that I included the mask, because I actually got COVID while working on this.
