With this surrealist piece, I wanted something soft and safe, with hints of something unsettling. If you were the baby, would you sleep soundly? Are you afraid for the baby? Can you trust the firefly watching over the baby? Personally, I’ve always romanticized this scene in my mind, but depending on the person, this can either be beautiful or horrifying.
