For Polaroid Girl, I wanted to capture the romanticized lifestyle that teenagers want to display. The vellum texture of the paper casts a grainy haze and gives the drawings a homemade feeling. The figures are distorted, indistinct, and blended into the lights and shadows of the city, turning the focus away from the girl’s experience, and instead to the world she lives in.
