Based on an image of my dog, I used a diamond-tipped pen to carve into plexiglass. I also used dark red tissue paper, which I cut and ripped in a “banner” style, and glued it onto water color paper. I intentionally used tissue paper that would bleed to achieve a weblike or blood-splatter pattern on the paper before printing my etching on top. Unfortunately, there were some complications and I had to go over the print with a dried out fine pen, but I tried to maintain the texture the printing created. Below, I have another print, but without tissue paper.
